NEW - Revolutionary Bandsaw, Advances Cutting
Speeds To Levels Way Beyond Any Other Bandsaw

700% Gains in Cutting Speed!

NEW - revolutionary, straight-cutting HBM400 SC bandsaw; there's nothing as fast!

The new Behringer HBM400 SC (Speed Cutting) bandsawing machine is remarkable revolutionary new bandsawing technology, that takes cutting speed and machine performance way beyond any other straight-cutting bandsaw.

By using new, 'Speed Cutting' technology, the HBM400 SC bandsaw advances cutting speeds up to 7 times faster than conventional bandsaws, achieving ultra high-performance, automatic, precision straight-cutting of all solid metals, up to 400mm diameter or 400 x 400mm in section. The new saw has evolved through continuous development and ongoing advances to the established HBM high performance bandsaw range, which has by some margin remained the world’s fastest for ferrous and non-ferrous metals since its UK launch in 2002. The HBM ALU series in particular, remains the unrivalled bandsawing benchmark for high-speed aluminium cutting. The quantum leap in performance now achieved by the HBM400 SC comes from the ongoing, maximizing of performance potential offered by the latest advances in bandsaw blades, combined with Behringer’s leading edge machine technology. The resultant HBM400 SC performance, achieves highly cost-effective, high-efficiency cut cycle times, capable of replacing several conventional saws, while improving overall production and quality.

The revolutionary cutting performance of the HBM400 SC achieves astonishing output. Conventional bandsawing machines for example will typically cut 150mm diameter, 16MnCr5 material when using a bimetal blade, at an output speed of circa 80 sq.cm/min and take around 150 seconds per cut, or with a TCT (tungsten-carbide-tipped) blade, will cut at a rate of around 130 sq.cm/min. The HBM400 SC, will make the same cut at an amazing 500 sq.cm/min per cut and take a mere 21 seconds; a dramatic 7 fold gain.

The HBM400 SC utilizes a specially developed, thinner bandsaw blade, just 1.1mm thick. This reduces the cutting force per tooth and importantly achieves a much narrower kerf of only 1.7mm, compared to typical industry norms, which enables significant financial savings in waste material and its management. A further evolutionary advance through the experienced gained from the HBM, includes enhancement of the proven Behringer servo-feed, cutting pressure control system, which ensures constant blade feed, while controlling precise, optimum cutting pressure, thereby preventing blade overload. This sophisticated system optimizes high-speed cutting efficiency and precision, whilst maximizing blade life.

Controlled from an ergonomic, neatly integrated console, the HBM400 SC has very user-friendly, simple to operate CNC screened instructions. Fully enclosed and using a proven, very robust vibration-free structure, the sound attenuating design achieves very quiet operation, even under extreme high-speed operation. Particular attention has also been given to maximizing the efficient removal of swarf, using an optimised chip clearance system. All chips are rapidly transported directly into a chip conveyor and extra large capacity, easy-access and removal container, housed in the base of the machine. Many machine options are available to precisely match customer production requirements, including automated input gripper-feed and measuring system and input/output roller way and transverse conveying options to ensure complete ease of material handling.

The HBM400 SC operating system can also be configured to integrate with other plant processes to provide the most efficient and seamless integration..
