The impressive technology and state-of-the-art customer training centre facility is in the world headquarters of Kaltenbach, Lorrach, Germany. The centre concentrates on the requirements of steel fabricators and stockholders and contains the very latest production and engineering machinery. A complete mix of CNC machines is on hand to demonstrate the full Kaltenbach capability for steel preparation.

This includes;
— plate profiling with hi-speed 'plasma profiling'
— coping
— sawing, circular and band

— drilling, including 'Contour' marking and solid-carbide drills

— bending & straightening

— punch, shearing & drilling for strip fed material with integrated 'plasma profiling' option

— robotic welding of structural steel

The centre enables customers to fully assess machines for their specific requirements and implement time and production optimisation studies. Training for customers machine operators and maintenance personnel also includes seminars and workshops. Expert advice on structural and fabrication material finish and treatment also forms part of the seminars.

The complete machine complex is PC networked into a CAD/CAM workstation providing invaluable training for customer production engineering, planning, logistics and IT personnel.

The centre complements the established Kaltenbach, Germany training and machine demonstration areas for general purpose and production engineering saws, as well as their overseas demonstration areas, such as the extensive UK facilities in Bedford, England.
