Kaltenbach Limited offer the very latest, new generation of Behringer high performance automatic HBM straight cutting bandsaws with a wealth of significant new benefits and machine features that achieve unique improvements in production efficiency.

Of special note are the major advances the new HBM range has made in dramatically reducing cutting and cycle times for hard, difficult materials and aluminium.

Comprising three machines, HBM540, HBM440 and HBM370 with a selection of specification options they suit a wide range of material capacities for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Maximum cutting capacity is ø 540mm or 600wide x 540 high with a minimum cutting capacity of ø 15mm.

The new design of the HBM range permits increased material capacity, reduced rest piece length and a minimum cut length down to 6mm. Optional features include ‘full capacity’ hydraulic bundle clamps and an extra wide swarf conveyor to maximise swarf removal rates. Enhanced diagnostics provide increased operational information and service support. A selection of input and output powered and non-powered roller conveyors provide a wide choice of handling options.

The HBM range is particularly suitable for non-ferrous applications with its special high speed cutting capability and high efficiency swarf clearance. An ergonomically designed total enclosure accommodates the safe, easy containment and removal of both swarf and coolant.

The normal high level of NC programmable features associated with Behringer saws are available with PLC control of all functions and digital display, plus storage for length/batch settings. Other features include servo controlled blade down feed, atomise coolant and optional automatic band pad pressure adjustment linked to machine cutting speed.
