Market leading, UK garden tractors and ride-on mowers producer Countax have installed a Kaltenbach universal circular saw into their machine shop to help maintain their competitive edge.

Garden tractors and ride-on mowers must be the ultimate mix of essential tool and plaything if you are into gardening. And when it comes to choosing Britain's best, Countax are the market leaders. They have invested in the latest computerised flexible manufacturing systems. Having installed a large number of turning centres in their main machine shop that relied on 1m long stock material, they soon realised they could not keep up with demand using their previous saw, even with 2 man operation. Hence the installation of a new Kaltenbach KKS400NA, automatic circular saw, with input rollerway.

The KKS400NA has a 400mm diameter blade that achieves extremely accurate, fast, clean finish cuts both straight and on the mitre, up to 90º left and right. Cutting capacity is up to 130mm diameter and the ergonomically designed controls make set-up and operation extremely simple. The very impressive Countax factory is in Great Haseley, Oxford where they produce an enormous range of tractors and ride-on mowers. They use their Kaltenbach KKS400NA to cut a mix of bar, tube and flats with flats usually cut in rafts of 12 off.
