In order to keep up with a general increase in business, one of the UK’s leading specialist manufacturers of aluminium components, ABL (Aluminium Components) Ltd has installed a pair of new APS4000, high-throughput aluminium production saws.

Established in 1976, ABL is situated in the thriving Midlands manufacturing area just off the M6 motorway. The company supplies a range of high-tech industries, in particular; electronic, electrical and leisure equipment manufacturers. This long-established company has been in the business of manufacturing products for these industries and it has accumulated vast experience in producing component parts from extruded materials.

With the need to increase turnover, came the need to invest in the latest production equipment. Spearheading the company’s current investment programme is the purchase of two APS4000, high-speed, aluminium production saws from Kaltenbach. As well as cutting individual items to extremely tight specifications, overall throughput benefits from the ability of the APS4000 to cut multiple extrusions, or bundles.

In addition, both of these saws have been specially laser-calibrated to ensure compliance with the strict performance specifications demanded by ABL. Therefore, the saws not only meet the needs of the company by vastly improving throughput and efficiency, they also maintain the very high quality standards demanded by their customers.
