Les Field, the BoA, Operations Manager, says, “As well as relying on our Kaltenbach machines to cut and drill
structural columns and beams, they help us produce quality architectural fittings. The KF plasma unit for
example, cuts so cleanly, we can coat finish shaped balustrade uprights with very little additional preparation”.

There is not a better presented and professionally run fabrication environment than that at Barretts of Aspley (BoA).
A long time user of Kaltenbach machine tools, they are strategically placed, just off junction 13 of the M1, Bedfordshire.
Designers and suppliers of structural and architectural steelwork, the sites main production buildings have just undergone
extensive rebuilding work, to create a series of superb processing areas that house a range of Kaltenbach and other
machines. This includes a KF1501 plasma plate cutting unit, 2 close-coupled KBS750/KD603 systems and a Gietart shot blaster.

BoA are involved in many prestige developments, including the Chelsea Bridge Wharf property development, where they are
contracted to all 4 phases to provide a complete tailored solution for all architectural and structural steelwork. This has
included design, manufacture and on-site installation, overseen by their Project Management team.
